It's pretty cool to be able to say "I knew her when" about Belfast native Lindsey Ray! I went to grade school and high school with the singer/songwriter! She moved out to LA a few years back to chase her dreams. I think it's safe to say that she's right there!

Lindsey co-wrote the Mariah Carey song "Almost Home" for the new Oz film "Oz The Great and Powerful"

Here is a little backstory on the small town sensation straight from her Facebook page:

Lindsey Ray (born Lindsey Bachelder) comes from a long line of musicality from both her mother and father’s sides of the family. She took on the stage name Lindsey Ray, in honor of her late paternal grandfather, Raymond Bachelder.Lindsey moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2008 and began collaborating with other songwriters, one of whom was Tim Myers, formerly of OneRepublic. Lindsey and Tim wrote a duet “Brand New Day” that was quickly picked up as the theme for Target national ad campaign and commercials, which aired from Fall 2008 through Summer 2009. Since then, Lindsey’s songs have been featured on NBC TV shows “Chuck” and “Mercy”, ABC TV shows “Ghost Whisperer” and “Castle”, Style Network, E! Channel, Lifetime’s original movie “Sorority Wars”, MTV, and most recently Lindsey’s song “You Make Me Happy” has been chosen to power Yoplait Yogurt’s new national television commercials in the US and Canada.

Lindsey has the ability to write honest songs about life’s trials and tribulations while maintaining a positive outlook that gives listeners hope for a better tomorrow. Her optimistic nature assures us that while life is never picture perfect, we are perfect just the way we are.

Lindsey’s debut EP "Picture Perfect" was released on November 12th, 2009. Her debut full-length album "Goodbye From California” was released on August 10th, 2010.
