Belfast Crash Leaves One Dead, Another Hurt

A 29-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash on Route 1 in Belfast Sunday night.

Police said a vehicle operated by Kevin Hustus drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle driven by Deborah Brady, 55.

Hustus was pronounced dead at the scene.

WABI reports that Brady was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with non-life threatening injuries.

Route 1 at the crash site, near the Belfast Armory, was shut down for about three-and-a-half hours.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
