Belfast Couple Arrested, Charged with Dealing Heroin; More Arrests Expected

A man and a woman form Belfast were arrested and charged with selling heroin after a Wednesday evening raid of their hotel room.

Asgard Tarik Gilbert, 39, and Anna Congdon, 24, were taken to the Waldo County Jail, where bail was set at $10,000 for Gilbert and $250 for Congdon.

Agents seized from the room at the Admiral's Ocean Inn 100 bags of heroin, 36 Oxycodone pills, digital scales and $1,000 cash, according to a Thursday news release from the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Agents say the couple intended to sell the drugs in Waldo County and more arrests are expected.
