The call came into the Bar Harbor Fire Department at 6:33 PM, that the Portside Grill at 38 Cottage Street in Bar Harbor was on fire. As of 8:20 PM, fire trucks from Bar Harbor, Trenton, Hancock, Tremont,  Lamoine, Southwest Harbor, Ellsworth and Mount Desert are all battling to control the fire and insure that it doesn't spread to adjacent buildings such as the The Thirsty Whale and Rite Aid. Travelers are advised to stay away from Cottage Street. We will keep this post updated as we receive more information.
