Bangor Union St. Wendy’s To Be Torn Down And Rebuilt

It's the end of an era in Bangor and the start of a new one.

The Wendy’s on Union Street in Bangor will be demolished later this month and rebuilt and modernized. Hard to believe people have been getting their "frosty" on since the location opened it's doors way back in 1977 and it has never really been updated or renovated. The Bangor Mall restaurant underwent a renovation several years ago.

The store will close Aug. 23rd, and the new construction will begin the very next day. The restaurant will sell off its old equipment to any businesses, charities or churches in need of kitchen equipment, tables or other items.

Job interviews for positions at the brand new restaurant will start in September.
