It's almost here! 

Since 1883, folks have been flocking to Bangor to see the animals, ride the rides, play the games, and most of all, eat the food!  The gates to this year's Fair will open at 2PM on Friday, July 31st!

Here's some of the highlights:

Fireworks, Friday night, July 31st at 9.  The Stoney Roberts Demolition Derby, Thursday and Friday, August 6th & 7th, at 7:30PM.  Truck and Tractor Pulls, Saturday, August 8th at 2PM.  Horse Show, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4th & 5th, at 12 noon. Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show runs at various times both weekdays and weekends. Make sure that you also check out The World Of Wonders Show at various times on both weekdays and weekends as well!  A Different Spin will perform nightly, featuring circus and fire art!

There's plenty of stuff for the kids to see and do including the Backyard Circus, Brown Family Farm Pony Rides, Animal Alley, and Old McDonald's Farm!

Music this year includes:  Lexi James, Saturday, August 1st at 9:30, and the Veayo Twins Trio Band, Sunday August  2nd, at 6PM.

Weekdays the Fair runs from 2 until 10PM, and then 12 noon until 11PM on the weekends.  Admission to the Fair is $12, and includes riding the mechanical rides as often as you'd like.  Children under 3 are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Seniors and members of the Military get a discount on Monday, August 3rd | Tuesday, August 4th | Wednesday, August 5th, admission is $5 for anyone over 60 and anyone with a military ID.

Parking costs extra:  $7 on the infield and $10 in any VIP lot.  Enter the parking areas via Buck Street, Dutton Street will be closed to traffic.  Fair bracelets will be sold in the parking areas.
