Make it back-to-back-to-back-to-back Class A North Region baseball titles for the Bangor Rams. A 3-0 shutout of Mt. Ararat Wednesday afternoon sends the Rams to another state championship matchup with Falmouth.

Senior pitcher Peter Kemble was superb - 12 strikeouts, half of them called strike three. He allowed just four hits and one walk. Bangor's defense turned two key double plays.

Dating back to the quarterfinal round of last season, the Rams have throw six consecutive shutouts in playoff games.

The Rams offense managed five hits. Zach Cowperthwaite drove in all three runs, including a two run double and a RBI on an infield out.

The victory puts Bangor at 15-4 and sets up a state title rematch from last year against Falmouth. The Yachtsmen beat Cheverus 4-1 to win the South Region championship.

Bangor baseball now has won 21 regional titles and will try to win a 13 state championship on Saturday.
