Bangor residents are invited to have Coffee With a Cop on Wednesday. Members of law enforcement will be there....and they might bring along their feathered mascot!

Coffee With a Cop is a national program that aims to connect community members with their local law enforcement officers. Bangor's Community Relations Officer Jason McAmbley said the local residents who have the most interaction with the police generally don't like them, because the police are the ones arresting them. But they don't get to interact with the folks who are calling in those reports, or who are law-abiding citizens. These are the folks they hope will show up for Coffee With a Cop.

McAmbley says folks can stop by to talk about community issues, or just to chat about whatever interests them. (he said you can even talk about Deflategate, if you want!) And while you're there, enjoy a cup of coffee with the folks who work everyday to keep your neighborhood safe.

Bangor Police will be hosting Coffee With a Cop at Tim Horton's on Broadway, Wednesday morning starting at 8 a.m. When asked if the famous Duck of Justice will be there, Officer McAmbley replied....maybe.....stop by and find out!
