We've all been glued to our televisions and computers this week, watching the rioting, looting, and fires in Baltimore. Reactions are varied, from support for the cause to horror and anger over the violence. But one photographer caught an image of peace - Baltimore residents lining up in front of police in riot gear to show their support for law enforcement.

It's such a scary situation. I watch the videos and say a prayer for the residents of the city who are just trying to go about their lives. Can you imagine having to drive to work through Baltimore right now? Or having a loved one involved in the dispute, whether in law enforcement or as a protestor? Frightening.

If somehow you've missed what's going on in Maryland, riots and looting, fires and violence have broken out in protest of the death of a black man. Freddie Grey suffered a spinal cord injury while in police custody and wasn't given medical attention in time to save his life. Several police officers have been suspended with pay, pending an investigation.

I won't go into my own personal opinions about what's going on, but will just say I hope there's an end to the violence soon. And there are people working toward restoring peace. Our friends at the Bangor Police Department shared a touching picture today that shows there are some people in Baltimore who just want the madness to stop.

There are good people everywhere; but we already knew that.
