Bangor Police Investigate Camera Found In Bangor Hospital Bathroom

The Bangor Police Department is investigating an alleged violation of privacy at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

While police were unable to release more information, an EMMC spokesperson told WMTW that hospital officials discovered a video camera inside a staff bathroom at the State Street hospital.

One camera was found, according to the report, and the staff person suspected of placing the camera in the bathroom was suspended from entering the building.

It is not believed any patients were filmed.

Bangor police said they were informed of the alleged violation of privacy last week. The case has been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
