A Bangor man is charged with operating under the influence after rolling his vehicle in Northport.

The accident happened Saturday on the Belfast Road, also known as Route 52, in Northport. The Waldo County Sheriff's Office reports a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Tyler Cotter of Bangor over-corrected after his vehicle drifted off the road, causing it to cross the opposite lane and roll over several times.

During the investigation, Deputies determined that both Cotter and an adult female passenger had been drinking alcohol. Cotter was arrested and charged with OUI, endangering the welfare of a child, and driving to endanger. 31-year-old Amanda Hendrickson of Hampden, was charged with violation of conditions of release and endangering the welfare of a child.

All four people were transported to the Waldo County Hospital for treatment of various injuries. The two juveniles were treated for minor injuries and released, while Hendrickson was takenbto EMMC in Bangor for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Cotter was treated and released by the hospital before being processed at the Waldo County Correctional Center. He was later released on $300.00 cash bail.
