Sad news if you are an ice cream lover around these parts... Dairy Queen out at the Bangor Mall is set to close at the end of this month on December 29. According to the Bangor Daily News, the store has been in business at this location for more than 20 years, slinging the sweet and creamy treat to customers of all ages.

The mall has been struggling to right itself for a few years, and has had its fair share of ups and downs. It will likely be a bit of a blow to the mall's occupancy. Not to mention, to its patrons, who will not only miss their burgers, but it's the only place in the Bangor area to get an Orange Julius. So we're about to be robbed of all sorts of delicious treats.

Dairy Queen will now only have two locations in the area, being Broadway in Bangor, and on Wilson Street in Brewer. This will also only leave two food options in the Bangor Mall...Bangor Pizza & Subs and Espresso Self.

In the meantime, at least there's still two Dairy Queens we can get to. So count your sweet blessings now!
