Get raking.

The leaves are dropping, and sure enough they didn't land in your neighbors yard. Start sweeping those leaves curbside if you live in Bangor, because public works employees will be by to suck them up starting next week.

Collection starts November 2. Bangor public works asks you remove rocks, branches, yard waste and other debris from your roadside leaf piles. The debris could damage the big leaf vacuum.

Brush, branches, yard waste and leaves can also be brought to the Public Works facility  at 530 Maine Ave. any day during daylight hours.
