Snow fall records for 2015 are in and Maine is of course among the snowiest. Results based on snow fall totals collected by the National Weather Service and didn't include cities with mountains.

Bangor was third for snowfall totals but first in coldest temperatures in the States. Caribou fell just below in fourth and Gray finished the list at tenth. Bangor needed about 30 more inches to take the number one spot held by Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Snow fall total records were broken in all 10 cities with Bangor more than doubling average snowfall totals. This year Bangor has about 131.5" with an average of 59.3". Caribou was close behind with 129.4" with an average of 96.2" and Gray still had a notable amount 103.7" to their average of 74.2".

Maine, Michigan, and Massachusetts dominated the list. You can see the top rankings and snow fall totals here.
