Let's take a look at the fall foliage report for this week, September 23rd - 29th, for the state of Maine.  There is a low color change throughout the whole state except for far Western Maine and the mountains, including the towns of Jackman, Greenville and Bethel, which has a very low color change.

The peak week for the Bangor area to check out the best and brightest foliage viewing is predicted to be somewhere near October 15th - 20th.

Nationwide Fall Foliage

Smokeymountains.com has put up an interactive map so you can check out what's going on with the fall foliage nationwide.  This week, there is partial change in the Rocky Mountain areas and northern Wisconsin, northern Pennsylvania, Upper New York State and northern Vermont.

There is not a lot of significant change in the leaves expected this week nationwide, including Maine.
