The world learning he's engaged may be the second biggest piece of news for ‘Bachelor’ star Sean Lowe this week.

Barely 12 hours after viewers watched him pop the question to Catherine Giudici (yes, she actually has a last name) on Monday’s finale of ‘The Bachelor’, Sean announced on Tuesday’s ‘Good Morning America’ that he will compete on the upcoming season of ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

And it sure says something that a man whose claim to fame is courting 25 women in an amped-up speed-dating show is the real star power in this year's dancing competition.

Sean will join a who’s who of “who?” among the roster of contestants, which includes the likes of Jacoby Jones, Wynonna Judd, D.L. Hughley, Lisa Vanderpump, Andy Dick, Victor Ortiz, Zendaya Coleman, Aly Raisman, Ingo Rademacher, Kellie Pickler and Dorothy Hamill.

Sean will team up with pro dancer and amateur vowel hoarder Peta Murgatroyd, who previously won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy with Donald Driver.

Lowe won't be the first ‘Bachelor’ star to dig his heels into the ballroom -- you may recall (and don’t deny that you don’t) that Jake Pavelka appeared on the 10th season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after his run on ‘The Bachelor’ ended.

Of course, Jake's relationship with the woman he chose, Vienna Girardi, soon flamed out, so Sean would be wise to make sure he doesn't let any wedding planning suffer at the expense of getting the foxtrot down pat. We can already envision the judges making bad puns out of him getting a "Lowe" score.

'Dancing with the (ahem) Stars' premieres next Monday, March 18, on ABC.
