You know it’s going to be a good Friday when there’s a new episode of ‘Ask Amy.’ This time, our cuter-than-cute hostess, Amy Poehler, takes us to a very sweet “after school special” kind of place and says some rather poignant things about how to say goodbye to a chapter of your life that’s coming to a close.
AP isn’t saying goodbye to anything herself — although she may need to say hello to a desk lamp here — she’s just being all wisdomous about life to help one of her viewers.
Goodbyes are hard, but Amy says that nothing is forever, no one ever really leaves and the only thing we can count on is change. And of course she’s right. As per usual.
Oh, and get out your Quote of the Day calendar for today, cross off whatever crap is on it and write in this final thought gem instead: “Life is just a series of moments. A string of pearls that make up the necklace of your life. Every once in a while, to complete the circle, you need to end a chapter.”
Then watch to the end of the vid for a super cute greeting from a teeny redheaded cherub to start your weekend off right.
