A Canadian biochemistry professor is digging deep for science. Ew.

Scott Napper is looking to conduct a study to see if eating your boogers can actually be beneficial to ones health. Mucus in our noses traps germs from entering our bodies. His theory is that if one was to eat their boogers, the exposure to those germs could help the body form immunities.

His study is not yet off the ground, as he's still looking for volunteers. The experiment would call for his group to be exposed to a molecule. One half of the group would dig in and eat their boogers and the other half will not. He would then look to gauge the bodies reaction to the molecule and the mucus around it.

Snack time!
