If you want to send an expensive gift to Anna Kendrick's house, first of all, know she thinks it's kind of creepy (and she's right.) Second of all, know the gift will wind up in the garbage.

During an interview this week with comedian Marc Maron, the Maine-born actress told a story of two fans who managed to get her home address and send birthday gifts to her house. One sent a teddy bear. Another sent a long letter about how they should be together ... and a pair of diamond earrings.

"For real diamond earrings," Kendrick said. "I did go and check. And I was just like, these have to go into the trash. Like, I can't. I cannot. I cannot wear them. I can't give them to someone. It's too weird. On principle, if the teddy bear goes in the trash, these go in the trash. So, I had to throw them away. So if you send something to my house, it's going in the trash."

Kendrick, who grew up in Portland, is currently working on the highly anticipated "Pitch Perfect 2."

The wide-ranging interview also covered Kendrick's childhood in Maine, her first theater experience and her recent roles opposite some of Hollywood's biggest stars.
