Former 'American Idol' alum Adam Lambert and current 'Idol' front-runner and finalist Angie Miller are scheduled to perform together during this season's 'Idol' finale, set to take place on May 16.

Also returning: Prior judge Jennifer Lopez, and possibly former contestant and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson.

If your 'Idol' knowledge isn't quite up to snuff, it's customary during the season finales to pair current hopefuls with now-successful contestants from years past in a "ghost of Christmas future" sort of thing. (As a reminder, Lambert was the season eight runner-up -- who should've won -- and Hudson came in seventh place during season three before going on to wow the world in 'Dreamgirls.')

Other pairings FOX is currently in the process of booking include the Band Perry, set to perform with fifth place finalist Janelle Arthur, and also Franki Valli (yes, he's still alive), who will sing with the top five guys.

The two-night finale will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on May 15 and 16 with each finalist (Miller, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover) performing three songs -- all while Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are probably too busy fighting to pay attention.
