And the winner is...

OGUNQUIT!

According to the Bangor Daily News, USA Today named the small town in York County one of the "best coastal small towns in America."

Ogunquit Town Manager Tom Fortier announced the win during this Tuesday's meeting of the Board of Selectmen. He said it was tribute to the Ogunquit's residents, staff and committees.

Locally, Ogunquit is known as a heavily popular tourist destination in the summer months, and a nightmare to drive through around 5pm on a warm Friday, but we put up with it!

I want to say thank you to everyone, and I want to embrace it. You deserve it. We don’t actively solicit these awards. But we should take credit for it. We live in a special community.”

-Tom Fortier, Town Manager

He's got that right!
