A 95-year-old woman was killed in a three-car crash on Route 2 in Mexico, Maine.

Police Chief Roy Hodson said 69-year-old James Burke of South Paris was driving east with Rita Burke on Wednesday when he stopped to make a left turn. Police say a minivan struck Burke's car from behind, pushing it into the path of a tractor-trailer.

Rita Burke was pronounced dead at the scene. James Burke was treated for minor injuries. Two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation is on-going.
