Eight local bands will gather in Brewer this Sunday in a concert to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

This is the third year local musicians have put together the Penobscot Music Festival, and each year they donate the proceeds from the event to a different charity. This time around, it's going to the organization that helps get treatment for sick and injured kids throughout the state. 100% of the proceeds donated to Children's Miracle Network stays local.

On Sunday, the music at Jeff's Catering in Brewer will range from country to rock, with some of the best musicians in the region on-stage. In addition, there will be food, provided by Tony and Lisa Brothers, as well as a cash bar. Jeff Budge of the Allison Ames Band tells me there will also be plenty of raffles and auction items, like a kayak, a canoe, Oakley sunglasses, and a lot more!

The suggested donation at the door is $5, but really, they ask that you give what you can. If it's less, that's fine. If it's more, that's great!

For more information, log onto the event's Facebook page. And be sure to stop by for some awesome music, and to help out a wonderful cause! Here's the list of performers and approximate times they'll be on stage:
