Thirty years ago this month, the first hand held cell phone went on the market. In all fairness, it looks like it took both hands to hold this thing.

In 1984, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000 went on sale for a mere $3,995! With a little digging around, I dug up a promotional video that Motorola put together to convince people to plunk down their hard earned cash to be the coolest and hippest person on the block.
