The Pink Runway Project charity event will be held on October 15, 2016 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. This second biennial event will feature a New York style fashion show, modeled by breast cancer survivors that have undergone breast reconstruction.

The event will also be hosting a silent auction as well as a live auction during the cocktail hour prior to the show and will feature a spectacular offering of hors
d’oeuvres and desserts from local chefs. Superstar comedian Johnny Ater will open the show and special musical guest Motor Booty Aair will close out this year’s event.

The Pink Runway Project is proud to have also teamed up with Machias Savings Bank to once again bring Maine this highly educational and inspiring event that will showcase the breast reconstruction options available to women diagnosed with breast cancer. Many women, who are bravely battling breast cancer, and are facing life-saving surgery, must also make important decisions about breast reconstruction and unfortunately research reveals that 70 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer are not being
informed of their breast reconstruction options.

The goal of the Pink Runway Project is to ensure that all breast cancer patients are fully informed of and given access to all of their reconstructive options. This event coincides with Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (BRA), which is celebrated in over 30 countries. Again, The Pink Runway Project is a new and exciting approach to provide awareness about breast reconstruction
options and ultimately give all women a voice and a choice.
