Police say speed may have played a role in a crash Wednesday morning that took the life of a woman from Wallagrass.

21-year-old Alesha Kelley was killed when she lost control of her car on Strip Road in Wallagrass.

Police say Kelley failed to navigate a curve, left the roadway and struck some trees.

Her vehicle came to rest on its side and caught fire.

Police say Kelley was not wearing a seat belt and speed appears to have played a role in the accident.
