The 2017 American Music Awards will hit Los Angeles on Sunday, November 19. Here's everything you need to know to be ready for the magical evening.

The host: Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross will emcee the event, which will also be somewhat of a family affair since her mom, Diana Ross, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The time: The ceremony will air live at 8 p.m. EST.

The place: The AMAs will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The red carpet: Red carpet arrivals will begin around 6 p.m. EST.

The broadcast: ABC will broadcast and stream the show online.

The performances: Kelly Clarkson and Pink will team up for what promises to be a memorable opening to the show, while Lady Gaga will perform "The Cure" live from her Joanne Word Tour stop in Washington, D.C.  Christina Aguilera, Alessia Cara, Niall Horan, Selena Gomez, Imagine Dragons, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes will also perform, while K-pop stars BTS will take the stage for their debut televised U.S. award show performance.

The nomineesBruno Mars leads the pack with eight nominations, but it's who wasn't nominated that has people talking: Not a single female artist was represented in the Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year or Video of the Year categories. Several other categories are also lacking female nominees.
