The 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards aired Sunday, September 23, at 7 p.m. EST, and all the big names of TV stardom came out to see which of the top shows could truly be crowned the best! But which one of your favorite series and celebs took home the top awards?

The odds were certainly in 'Modern Family's' favor, as the show itself was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series on top of the Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor nominations for Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ed O'Neill, Jesse Tyler, Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet. But was the ABC hit able to beat out the other highly acclaimed comedy series? We also had to weigh in the many personalities of Kristen Wiig from her 'SNL' run.

Also predicted to win big were 'Breaking Bad,' 'Mad Men' and 'Downton Abbey.' Even if neither of these 2012 Emmy Awards nominees didn't end up taking home the top prize of Outstanding Drama Series, there was still the incredible performances of Bryan Cranston, Jon Hamm and Michelle Dockery to think about.
