State Police responded to a call of an 18-wheeler that had left the road and landed in someone's garage. The impact was so great, it separated the garage from the house.

It was around 8:30 Saturday evening when State Police were called to a motor vehicle crash on the River Road in Oakfield. Police say Christopher Crowe was operating a 2002 Western Trailer Truck westbound on the River Road when he lost control on a curve.

The truck left the road, first hitting a utility pole and breaking it in half. It then continued across a private lawn and struck a residence, doing considerable damage. The impact was so strong, it separated the garage from the house.

Crowe was arrested and charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief. Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending. The truck, owned by Sides Logging of Sherman, is considered a total loss.
