18-Wheeler Accident Closes Part of I-95

A serious accident involving a semi closed a portion of I-95 this morning and at least one person was injured.

WLBZ-TV reports the accident happened Tuesday morning near exit 161 in Plymouth. Details are few, at this hour, but one person was taken by helicopter to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

Both northbound lanes were shut down for a time, while the scene was cleared. Police are investigating the accident that involved a big rig hauling asphalt ending up in the median.
