    Erin Andrews

    Best Known For: Host, FOX Sports (2012-present), Host, ESPN (2004-2013) & Host, Dancing with the Stars (2010-2015)

    Although sportscaster Erin Andrews grew up in Florida, she spent her early years in her hometown: Lewiston. Erin started her career as a freelance reporter at Fox Sports Florida where she remained for four years before beginning a four-year run at ESPN. It was there that she became the face of ESPN National Hockey Night and began sideline reporting for ESPN College Football Saturday Primetime. Erin is currently working for FOX Sports and co-hosting Dancing with the Stars, a dance competition she previously placed third in (2010).

    Although she attended college in Vermont, Anna is originally from Damariscotta, ME. Belknap began her acting career with a series of guest appearances on shows like: Law & Order (1999), and Homicide: Life on the Street (1996). However, it was her role as Detective Lindsay Monroe in CSI: NY that made her a crime show favorite. Anna just recently completed a role in No Way Jose (2015) where she worked alongside former Hannah Montana star, Emily Osment.

    Best Known For: hit single “Collide” (2004)

    “Even the best fall down sometimes. Even the wrong words seem to rhyme.” Howie Day, a Bangor native had everybody singing along with his hit single 'Collide' in the early 2000s. The song has been featured on t.v. shows like Lost, Scrubs, and One Tree Hill. It became Epic Records first platinum single and this Mainer’s only single to chart in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #20. Day continues to make music and is currently on tour. He will be preforming in Ogunquit in August.

    Patrick Dempsey

    Best Known For: Derek Shepherd, Grey’s Anatomy (2005-2015)

    Who doesn’t know Dr. McDreamy? Born in Lewiston, Dempsey is best known for staring as Dr. Derek Shepherd in the hit television series Grey’s Anatomy. However, he has also stared in a number of romantic comedies such as, Made of Honor (2008) and Sweet Home Alabama (2002). Despite his stardom, Dempsey still visits Maine to spend time with family and host The Dempsey Challenge, a run, walk, and cycle fundraiser to support cancer care.

    Greg Finley

    Best Known For: Jack Pappas, The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008-2013)

    Fans of The Secret Life of the American Teenager will recognize Gregg Finley as the dreamy quarterback of Grant High School.  Finley starred in the show until its cancellation in 2013. Finley also starred in the CW show Star-Crossed which debuted in 2014 but was cancelled after one season. The Scarborough High alum has since made appearances in The Flash (2014) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2015).

    Anna Kendrick

    Best Known For: Becca, Pitch Perfect (2012) & Cinderella, Into the Woods (2014)

    Anna Kendrick is practically a household name these days… at least households with teenage girls. This Portland-born actress began her acting career in 2003 and starting gaining some attention for her role as Jessica in the Twilight saga (2008-2012). However, it was her starring role as Becca in Pitch Perfect (2012) that made Kendrick a star. Alongside the movie, Kendrick released the single 'Cups' which peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and prompted thousands of covers online. Anna has gone on to star in other films including Pitch Perfect 2. She is also the face of Kate Spade New York where she stars in the video web campaign #missadventure.

    Judd Nelson

    Don’t you forget about your favorite Breakfast Clubber! Judd Nelson, a star of the ‘80s was born in Portland, ME before he left to attend St. Pauls preparatory school in New Hampshire. Nelson is best known for the role of Bender in The Breakfast Club (1985) and Alec Newbary in St. Elmo’s Fire (1985) however, he has also produced and written. Bender… er-Nelson is still acting in movies and most recently completed Julie Loves to Gamble, which is set for release in 2016.

    Nick Noonan

    Best Known For: hit single “Brokenhearted”

    Nick Noonan, an Old Town man, is one half of the pop duo Karmin. Noonan attended Old Town High School where he played trombone. He went on to attend Berklee College of Music  in Boston where he met Amy Heidemann of Nebraska and formed Karmin. The two created a YouTube channel where they generated millions of views covering songs like ‘Scrubs’ by TLC and ‘Look at Me Now’ by Chris Brown. Karmin’s single ‘Brokenhearted’ peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo is still making music and recently announced their own app. Nick is known to return home events like Old Town Riverfest and has been seen bowling around his hometown.

    John O'Hurley

    Best Known For: J. Peterman, Seinfeld (1995-1998) & Host, Family Feud (2006-2010)

    You might be wondering where you have seen this Kittery-native before and the answer to that question is simple: everywhere. John O’Hurley is best known for his days on Seinfeld (1995-1998) as J. Peterman although you might also recognize him as the host of Family Feud (2006-2010). Younger fans will know this Mainer for his role as Captain Jim Bob Sherwood in Wizards of Waverly Place (2010) or for his voice acting as Roger Doofenshmirtz in Phineas and Ferb (2008-2014). O’Hurley has written two books and released two albums. At 60-years old, John is still acting; he just finished filming A Remarkable Life, which is expected to debut later this year.

    Liv Tyler

    Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, may not have been born in Maine but she spent a good portion of her childhood in the Vacationland and attended the Waynflete School in Portland. She started her career at 14, modeling in t.v. commercials before making her t.v. debut in Aerosmith’s ‘Crazy’ video in 1993. As far as acting goes, Tyler is best known for her role as Grace Stamper in Armageddon and Arwen in The Lord of the Rings movies. Liv most recently acted in the t.v. series The Leftovers (2014-2015). She has been known to speak kindly of her experiences in Maine.
